Diversity/Sensitivity Trainer Needed

PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:


Diversity Enterprises is a full service national Diversity Training and Consulting Firm. We offer on-line training and on-site training for Corporations and Educational Institutions.  Our goal is to eliminate attitudes, opinions and beliefs that negatively reflect the values of a multi-ethnic workforce. We seek an experienced Diversity/Sensitivity Trainer. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive and strategic interventions, programs and exercises that ensure greater respect, and appreciation for cultural differences. This includes working with minority groups, such as people of color, women, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, and people who are different by ability, age, religion or ethnicity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide ongoing organizational consultation by designing educational training programs that meet the specific needs of each client.
  • Research, analyze, and conduct on-going strategic planning to help resolve specific problems areas while implementing new protocols and systems to ensure that the work environment is an emotionally safe climate.
  • Promote an organizational culture that embraces diversity as a core value guiding strategic planning and program implementation and evaluation.
  • Constantly explore new training delivery platforms and technologies (e-learning, remote learning, etc).
  • Conduct in-house Diversity/Sensitivity training sessions with staff members.

KNOWLEDGE:

Job duties require extensive knowledge of blended learning and instructional design techniques, practices and theories for adult learning.  Regularly provides expertise and a broad perspective in developing coaching, training and organizational development programs.  Thorough understanding of strategic development and planning and how to integrate these plans into the operations of the organization. Knowledge of diverse groups, working with a multicultural workforce, and sensitivity and appreciation of cultural differences is required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development, or related area required.
  • Master's degree in Organizational Development or Training or related areas required.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in delivering diversity/sensitivity training
  • Demonstrated experiences in using blended learning, learning management systems, informal learning management, remote learning, e-learning and advanced tools for delivery are required.
  • Deep experience in instructional design for adult learning in a business environment is required.
  • Extensive experience in developing change management training.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current techniques and theory in all aspects of workplace diversity and inclusion.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in research and evaluation assessment and design.
  • Excellent communications and influence skills, including coaching, negotiating, group facilitation, platform/presentation, verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Key knowledge of the principles and methods of managing organizational change, and organizational development.
  • Strong ability to lead and apply organizational and change theories.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficient knowledge with applications: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Candidate must have a positive attitude.
